Aspera Triplum is the most comprehensive application of the all technologies and poly-based additives that Grapplesnake has created and innovated with since our introduction into the market.

Aspera Triplum is our powerhouse string, a near-perfect balance of performance attributes we consider most important for a string to be great. First, the spin potential it provides is unmatched. This is achieved with a triple approach - shape, surface, and roughness. Aspera Triplum is square with sharp edges, while also abrasive in its surface, and with diamond-shaped indentations for roughness. Spin is impressive and consistent, but this is only the beginning.

Second, comfort and feel. This is very difficult to achieve in a square string, which normally tends to be relatively firm and muted. Aspera Triplum is soft, comfortable and communicative. We consider this breakthrough to be one of our highest achievements to date. We can now offer a string that blends its sharp profile with a very high level of comfort and connection with the ball. As a comparison, Aspera Triplum is softer than Alpha, our very popular model which is renowned for its comfort. We are very excited to showcase this unprecedented milestone to our customers, especially those who have been requesting a relatively thin, square string from us.

Additionally, tension maintenance is well above average - another extremely difficult characteristic to elevate in a sharp/square profile, and we have achieved it with Aspera Triplum.

Finally, power is abundant and very much well balanced with control. Comparable to Tour Mako Silver in this department, players will be able to use Aspera Triplum as a true weapon on the court in a new era of tennis where power, spin and groundstroke dominance is key.

We can't wait to disrupt the market yet one more time with Aspera Triplum. We are incredibly proud of this string, and we have applied all we know and have learned into its development. We want players to see real benefits on the court and we want to elevate the game of tennis with this string. Above all, we want to innovate.

Available in Neon Yellow and Mantis Green.

Shape: Squarely shaped, with an abrasive surface, and rough with indentations.

Tension recommendations:

- Aspera Triplum is a soft string. Recommend +2 lb from you normal poly tension.

Stringing Tips:

As with any square string, watch your clamp pressure and avoid crushing the strings or allowing the clamp to slide based on which edges you are compressing. Might have to adjust clamping pressures at times.

Love at first bite!

First time hitting with Aspera Triplum in a ProStaff 97 v14 strung at 42/44, and it was near-perfect. I’m not sure I’m ever felt more confident hitting out and taking full cuts while still putting the ball in tight spaces. Excellent bite and feel. Incredibly comfortable and satisfying for such a rough, spin-oriented string. Felt great taking full cuts with my normally flat one-handed bh and driving the ball with pace and plenty of margin. At first blush, a near perfect string as far I’m concerned. I’m definitely sold. Also, love the mantis green!

Amazing, Robert! Thank you so much and enjoy!

Great String poor Durability

Love the playability of the string but only last about 10 to 12 hrs before breaking.

Thanks for your feedback, Lorne!

A challenger to M8 for string supremacy???

I just tried A.T., and it's incredible so far. It reminds me of my beloved M8, but with more spin potential. I'll be honest I wasn't sure what to think when I strung it - it's incredibly elastic and stretches like taffy when you pull tension (hint: do NOT string this with a lockout machine... has to be a constant pull mechanism), and when you weave the crosses, you wonder how the snapback will be... will the mains get caught on the crosses due to the high abrasiveness? All concerns wiped away on first hit! Beautifully pocket-y feel, great spin, consistent launch angle, and strings were perfectly straight; a sign of great snapback. Honestly now I can't decide if I want a reel of this or M8 - decisions, decisions! I can't wait to try this in a hybrid with a slicker cross, like a ReString Sync, Toroline Wasabi X, or Grapplesnake's very own Irukandji.

Andrew! Thank you for again for taking the time to share your impressions here. Aspera Triplum is a very special string, and you hit the nail right in the head with your impressions.

My New Favorite String!

Great power, spin, and feel. Never played with a string like this before. Stringers might have a hard time stringing this one though. It’s very rough. Aside from that, It’s a must try for everyone.

Thank you, Denny! Very humbling to see all the positivity towards Aspera Triplum. It's a very special string. Enjoy!
